USA Fireworks provides a safe area to legally and safely shoot off fireworks at our Copeville location on Hwy 78, just north of Wylie. The safe area is under the supervision of the local fire department as well as a security officer. So if you are looking for a safe area to shoot fireworks, the USA Fireworks safe area is the place to be.

The Safe Area hours:
6pm - 12pm on Dec. 29th and Dec. 31st
6pm - 12pm on July 2nd and July 4th

Rules for USA Fireworks Safe Areas:

  • Wrist bands are required for everyone entering the safe area. Adult wrist bands are available for purchase and children's wrist bands are free.
  • No unsupervised children allowed in the Safe Area.
  • Everyone must sign the Safe Area waiver before being allowed entry.
  • Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed in the Safe Area or on our property.
  • Guests must dispose of fireworks in dumpsters when done.
  • Only fireworks purchased from USA Fireworks are allowed!
USA Fireworks voluntarily provides this Safe Area as a public service to allow local residents a safe location to legally shoot fireworks purchased from one of our locations.

By Texas State Law 352.051, Counties are allowed to prohibit the use and sale of certain fireworks items should drought conditions exist. These specific items are "Rockets with Sticks and Missiles with Fins" and are only a small percentage of the items that USA Fireworks sells. If your county has enacted a ban on these specific items, then that does not affect USA Firework's ability to sell and for you to use the remainder of our products.

Sometimes, these restrictions are called, "Aerial Fireworks Bans" by the media. This is misleading because it implies that anything that shoots in the air is banned. THIS IS NOT THE CASE! You can still purchase "aerial fireworks", including Artillery Shells, multi-shots, helicopter items and many more of your favorites. Per Texas State Law, any decision to ban Stick Rockets and Missiles with Fins must be made by June 15th or December 15th for a particular selling season. It is NOT in the powers of the countiesw to ban all fireworks due to drought. The media gets it wrong all the time.

A "Burn Ban" is not the same as banning of these particular items. Just because a county has a Burn Ban (prohibiting outdoor burning, welding, etc.), that does not always affect fireworks. Counties may only restrict the specific items mentioned above.

You are free to use fireworks even if a Burn Ban is in place.

The Texas Forest Service attempts to maintain a map of restrictions enacted, though it is not always updated:
